The English language has four key skills – listening and reading (receptive), and speaking and writing (production). 

I can teach you these four skills, building your ability, confidence, help you discover the meaning, and how to use English.

Learning English is about practice; but how do you begin?  How do babies learn a language?  They listen, discover and mimic.  Later comes reading, seeing how words are used, and lastly writing (and grammar), how the structure is built. 

It’s the same for young learners and adults.  For everyday English, listening, speaking and reading are the easiest.  It can be for ‘small talk’ or visiting the doctor, it’s about getting your message across so the other person understands. 

With writing, it depends.  Writing a school / university assignment or a business report is very different from writing a letter.  Even the style of university assignments are different from business reports.
